The restaurants are really expensive. Take Alfie's advice and have a big breakfast. Easy enough to do as we'll have an apartment. Easy enough to do as we'll have an apartment. Take M&S sandwiches too. It gets cheaper by the minute. And a jar of nescafe? Afterwards, sell the empty jar. Claim it's Clooney's and make profit. That may get you into the expensive restaurants. |

It's not long enough to "do" all the sights, but it's not the sort of short hop like Paris/Brussels/Amsterdam that you would be prepared to do more than once just my 2p worth tim |

It's not long enough to "do" all the sights, but it's not the sort of short hop like Paris/Brussels/Amsterdam that you would be prepared to do more than once just my 2p worth It would seem strange to me if we were trying to see the whole island, which we're not. Indeed, we're not even going to the main sights on the island. It's a three hour flight- once you factor in check-in, travel to the airport, the difference between a one hour and three hour flight is pretty small in my experience. Flight departure/arrivals are convenient too, arriving lunchtime, leaving after dinner- staying three nights. In addition to that, other deciding factors were the cheap flight (booked 4 weeks ago) and the fact we hadn't been to Italy for a few years...
