Why do we need to know that, is that supposed to impress people??????? Both bus stations in DC and in NY are central and in relatively safe neighborhoods. DC's is a bit dicier that way, dicier is just another way of saying that the areas is a dangerous, drug infested dump It's not Beverly Hills but it's far from a dangerous drug-infested dump. Okay, well, the dump part might apply. Thousands of people use the bus station every day and I've never heard of anyone having trouble there. It's two blocks from Union Station which nobody would ever claim to be dangerous, drug-infested, or dumpsome. The worst anyone has to worry about is panhandlers. miguel -- Hit The Road! There are hundreds of thousands living here and no particular entry requirements. No, it's just to give some perspective. Especially in international travel groups where it's helpful to know where someone's coming from. If it really offends you perhaps I could re-word it? miguel -- Hit The Road! A person (like Miguel or me) who lives in Washington DC is most likely to know, on a day in day out way, about the issues that a person who will be visiting. Miguel does not post stuff trying to impress, just to give information. You must be a newbie to this group, or not comprehend much that you read, to not know that.
