Is my dog lying??? It ain't just people. Have her thyroid checked. It's more common than you imagine. True, I had a friend whose Beagle/Basenji mix had an underactive thyroid. It's funny, underactive thyroids seem to be fairly common in older dogs, whereas older cats tend to have hyperactive ones.
