What goes around, comes around, darn,
I liked the frying by warming better than the
freezing by cooling.

Yes, economists are exactly the people I'd go to for climeatology advice!

The very first quote of many from the Economist article:

".. as James Hansen, the head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space
Studies, observes, “the five-year mean global temperature has been
flat for a decade....â€

The [holy] Ecoomist is just a newsweekly,
undoubtedly pledged to the owner of the Invisible Hand, right andor
left.

a longtime ago, I found an unsigned article in *National Review*,
"Global Warning," which was about the Mont Pelerin Society and
its array of international wing nut foundation affiliates ... and,
much later,
I realized that it probable came form The Economist, because ...
*all* of its articles are by the "mast-head collective."

Well, perhaps you shouldn't use The Economist as a scientific source.
Climate scientists did not warn of global cooling. And none are
warning of it now either. And I'd hope The Economist would be above
smearing and ad hom attacks ("socialist formula").
