I'd have to agree with Dave. Try the Formule 1 hotel at the Albert Dock
rather than staying in L 8.

I went to Hatshepsut's tomb recently. By your logic, that might be out
of bounds too?

I wouldn't really recommend the area at all.


There's nothing particularly _wrong_ with it, either. It's a hike from
the centre, but plenty of buses go that way. That said, there are plenty
of better recommendations in the centre, so for that reason, no point in
staying further away. The Formule 1 at the Albert Docks is £23 a night,
and is clean, has a TV- no ensuite, but easy access to the
auto-self-cleaning toilets and showers.
