This sounds like the same video that was on the
discovery channel.

The life boats are not a design flaw, just a gravity flaw. When the life
boat is resting on the hull it will not lower to the water!

Which is why cruise ships also carry inflatable life rafts.

No, I saw (all but the first few minutes) of the show on the Discovery
Channel yesterday, and they are different shows.

That was explained better on the Discovery show.

There was also an interesting discussion of how many, many more lives
would have been lost if the wind was blowing in a different direction
and had not blown the ship back towards the shore.

That was an interesting part to me since the original news reports
indicated that about the only thing the Capt did right was to guide the
ship back to the rocks so people could get off and swim if needed. Seems
like even that wasn't the case and he messed up pretty much from one end
to the other.
