Driving from Vancouver to Yellowknife in late Dec

HI,

Im planning a trip at the end of the year to Yellowknife late
december.

Im a little worried about driving up after seeing to extreme cold
temps.

Is it safe to drive up from Vancouver to Yellowknife late Dec?

Thanks,

Matt

Don't do it. Fly. The NWT is a very inhospitable place to motorists in
December. Services like gas, food, and lodging are very few, far
between, and expensive. Daylight hours are few. Places to stop are
scarce. The going will be slow. A breakdown could be life threatening.
