Im planning a trip at the end of the year to Yellowknife late december. Im a little worried about driving up after seeing to extreme cold temps. Is it safe to drive up from Vancouver to Yellowknife late Dec? Thanks, Matt |

The NWT is a very inhospitable place to motorists in December. Services like gas, food, and lodging are very few, far between, and expensive. Daylight hours are few. Places to stop are scarce.
