My personal favs:
Heviz, Hortobagy National Park, Bugacpuszta, Baja, Harkany, Pecs,
Agtalek... Swim in Balaton, the Tisza, the Duna, ride a horse in
Bugacpuszta, haggle for souvenirs at any piac, buy arcane farming tools
or seeds at a gazdabolt. Budapest is fine for a couple of days, but I
think the food is better out of town, and the beer is cheaper too.
