In Siberia, after decades of near starvation people finally are able to eat meat. The novelty has not dissappeared (yet). No local joints catering for idiots (meaning in the way the locals think). For the locals angel food and manna from heaven is a greasy mcdonaldian hamburger, a treat that their parents nor they themselves couldn't have dreamt of just some years ago. To be fair the russians do understand business. There are places where the funny flowerhats (funny foreign tourists) can have their funny grass (vegatarian meals). And as a side product it provides an abundance of laughter and jokes and clarifies why Bush et al are so crazy as the media tells. Don't be offended - this is just the reality. |
