Has anyone hiked the length of the Panama Canal?

I'm trying to find out whether it's feasible to hike the canal. Is
there a path? What's the danger factor? Etc. If you have any info,
please share!

I haven't been there in thirty years, but there were places by the Cut
where you would not be able to get close to the water because the sides
come right down to the surface. I do know that people have swam the canal
as well as paddling thru on all sort of water craft. I would guess that
you would need permission from the canal authority to do this.

As for the danger, there are no animals in or around the canal that could
threaten you except maybe land snakes.
