Once in varanasi, head for any of the Ghats and you will get boat
operators there all the time. Its not regulated, but thats the way it
is.

Mu suggestion: Go to "Assi Ghat" and take a boat from there for a full
length ride covering all the Ghats. They should charge u around
Rs.500/- (motor boats r bit more). Suggested time is either early morn
(6am) as it gets hot after 8, or in the evening. If u r religious, go
in the eve as you can see the arti at Daswamedha Ghat...its very
impressive when seen frm the boat.

Cheers,
Sid
