Cunard Schedules Pod Repairs!
 

Hi Everyone,

I have learned that the repair work for QM2’s damaged propulsion pod
will be carried out in 2 phases at Blohm + Voss in Hamburg. The QM2
will be drydocked in May to remove the pod. The repaired pod will be
installed during November. There will be 2 sailings cancelled. The
scheduled departure on May 5, a 12-day Mediterranean sailing, will be
changed into a six-day Northern Europe itinerary departing on May 11.
The installation of the repaired pod in November will take QM2 out of
service for 7-days, delaying the Nov. 11 transatlantic voyage by one
week, to Nov. 18, and canceling the Nov. 18 Caribbean sailing. QM2
will sail as scheduled on Nov. 25 to the Western Caribbean. Booked
passengers should check with their travel professionals for the
