Yes ... rationing ... exactly as Americans do today ... only in the
USA it's rationed by access to money, instead of based on real need
.... so, as a nation, Americans spend far more than any other country
and yet still manage to achieve worse results overall in terms of
health care than many other industrialised nations.

Of course the key to controlling health care costs is to control
profits of doctors and drug companies who hold a monopoly on
lifesaving medical procedures and drugs ... something Canada is
clearly more successful at doing.

Sadly, the drug companies in America actually had to get the FDA to
make it illegal for many Americans to exercise their right to shop
around for cheaper life-saving drugs ... but when your life is at
stake and your own country fails to give you access to affordable
medicine, guess you do what you have to do ... including shopping in
Canada ...

There is not one nationalized health care system world wide that is
not constantly reevaluating it's system from many angles and not just
financial

In the US it's rationed by insurance companies isn't it? to keep profits up.

But no countries have ditched their public health
care systems in order to adopt the American one.
