Last I've read: no decision has been made, and won't be until it's floated, towed to a port, and inspected. But there are really only two choices: sell as scrap; or refurbished to working condition. Stef I could be wrong but I'd think that the longer it sits underwater, the greater the likelihood of it being scrapped. Bill There's also the question: If refurbished, and sold or returned to cruising, can that cost be recovered in a reasonable time, and the ship made profitable? I'm sure there are lots of factors affecting the decision of refurbishing or scrapping. One I can think of that has more to do with superstition than the ship itself: Will enough people sail on a ship that sank to make a profit? Stef |

the ship will be scrapped, after raising it (for over 100 million Euro) the cost to refurbish would add to a price higher than building a new ship.
