Quick advice wanted

I got about a week to book a vacation (free airfare I won and it takes
14 days to book) at an all inclusive

I have to travel by April 15th

I'm a single guy, looking for fun, a few minor body issues (thus my
hesitancy for Hedonism) looking to meet people (and if women are
included, more power to me though I'm not a lothario) and have a good
time

thanks

A good choice for singles. The resort isn't as much of a party village
as Club Med Turkoise; but there are lots of things to do outside the
resort. And Club Med has the best beach location in Cancun.

A bunch of my standard questions, for people who submit trip reports!

Secrets Excellence
Location: Punta Cana - East Coast - 60 mins. from airport
All-inclusive 446 rooms Adults Only!

Is it adult-only or couples only? It isn't clear from their website.

Note: These prices are per adult for 7 nights and based on double
occupancy.

Any idea what the single supplement is? Assuming singles are allowed.

We loved our vacation. We are age 46 and 51. All ages we at
Secrets.

What ages? Were there families? 18-21 year old party people? Singles?

The food was very good. Our favorites for lunch were the seafood
and steak restaurants by the pool. It is wonderful to have
shrimp, mussels, mahi mahi, steak kabobs, and beef and chicken
fahitas for our lunches. And the view is ocean front and
breathtaking. We never had to wait to be seated for lunch.

Was there a "main restaurant"? Were the restaurants buffet or service?
Was the seating "open", or did they have people to seat you at tables?
Did they seat people together at tables? (People who have been to
Club Med will understand these questions!)

Did they enforce a dress code in the restaurants? Or could you throw a
wrap over your swimsuit, and have lunch?

Our tips for other Secrets travelers:
Take thermal mugs so your drinks last longer around the pool.
Great for Beer, soda, etc.

The most important tip I give people!

Did you do any sports?

My normal questions:

1) What kind of sailboats? How many?
2) Windsurfing? Any wind? Good boards?
3) They list scuba, but is it just a minor resort operation, or a full
blown operation? How many dives per day? Buddy diving or only in
groups? Etc.
4) Nightclub/Disco? Late night partying? Liquior after 2:00am?
5) What kind of "top shelf" liquior? What was the best Vodka or
Scotch? I have yet to see an all-inclusive stock real top shelf
liquior, it is usually "call" with a few "premium" but rarely "top
shelf". Tia Maria, Bailey's, etc, aren't top shelf. Any 21 year old
scotch? :)
6) Bicycles? Basketball or volleyball? Fitness classes?

Thank You,

Steven Goodman
