Right now everyone is interviewed by an immigration officer anyway. You take 5 more seconds to look into a camera, and put your finger on an optical reader. |

Often it is quite fast but there are times when a number of flights arrive at the same time that you can be there quite a while. Terminal 1 seems faster than Terminal 2 to me as well for whatever reason. |
