Depending on the traffic the approx travel time should be about 40 minutes.
The trip usually starts going through town but will soon get on the highway
for the remaining portion

Mexican Riv versus Caribbean

Have done the mexican rivera a couple of times and never encountered much in
the way of waves. Sometimes it is a little rough around the area of cabo
san lucas but not any worse than you...
