Some very pretty examples, per region:


Alentejo - Monsaraz, Castelo de Vide, Marvao (these 3 are a must)

Lisbon Area - Palmela, Sintra (not quite villages but rather small
towns)

Center - Obidos (postal card village)

Center/Mountains - Piodao (magnificent village), Monsanto, Sortelha,
Marialva, etc... you'll find in this region plenty of medieval
preserved villages for all the tastes.

North - don't know that much about the small villages here.
