Poll: Should we end the invasive airport screenings?

When was the last time an Israeli aircraft or airport has a problem?
Passengers don't remove shoes or go through *body searches etc. etc. *They
rely primarily on a short conversation, a couple of questions and profiling.
Whatever else they do is essentially non-intrusive and obviously very
effective. *Why aren't we taking lessons from them?

Israelis know the Nazis can just produce a machine that will
indiscrimanitely searh while maximizing profit for the police state's
economy at large.
First of all, acgtually interogating the person takes more time than
just pushing them through the body scan, and if US passengers do not
like it, they get to have thier body poked at...which, of course, is
evenmore intrusive.
Faced witht he prosoect of what;s theuse in arguing, passengers will
choose the lesser of two evils which takes much less time. In a hurry,
then give up some liberty, you can always drive, but it will cost more
time. It depends on your salary then as to whihc method is the most
econmical. For families not in a hurry, it is obviously the road trip,
but if extra money to spare then we save time and fly I guess, but
also pay extra in the being poked at deparment as well.

Just gives the uinemployed another reason to drive and not to fly, not
that the unemployed will buy an airline ticket anyway in most cases.
Yet the lower classes would be most sensitive to being poked at. They
would not publicly protest, but only breed more inner contempt for a
government that is failibng in every way.

Can't really balme one guy when the entire corrupt system is agaisnt
him, because they have more to lose than to gain.

Flying becase a strain on the blood pressure when the TSA came around
to be.
9/11 achieved its purpose by the fact that it encouraged and allowed
the governemnt to stomp on civil liberties guaranteed by a Bill of
Rights which a sitting president did not respect, while the population
in paranoia surrendered its cherished liberties.

It is at times like these when one truly questions the wisdom of so
called democracy.

We are disappointed by this administration which only expanded the
invasiveness of civil right abuses.
We would have expected Mr Obama to be more of a champion for civil
liberties by refraining from exercising and/or expaniding policies we
elected him to change.
I remind him of another disappoiontment: the use of Predator drones,
but we do not expect anything different from Clinton who used hellfire
missiles on targets within US boundaries. I know my objection to use
of Hellfire missiles does not account for anything anyhow.

However, once again, I exercise the Jonah function, so that like my
countrymen, so GOD does not hold me resposnsible for approving such
methods.
The preceived prophet is charged to speak those things of conscience
which are extremely relevant at the time.
