Oakland is smaller and somewhat less crowded than SFO, though it's
becoming busier. Much less service, to fewer points, than SFO, of
course.

Oakland is a smaller airport and actually quite crowded. SFO, after the
traffic renovations, is actually pretty easy, esp. since one can take BART
to the airport.


The only other airport with scheduled service within 50 miles of San
Francisco is San Jose. I haven't been through it in about ten years,
and can't comment on its current state of convenience.
