Snip:
A United Airlines plane landed safely at O'Hare Airport after the pilot
of Flight 836 from China reported an emergency at 3:45 p.m. Friday.

The passengers were evacuated on Runway 1028. Airport officials said 269
people were onboard the flight, which originated in Shanghai. No serious
injuries were reported- although one woman hurt herself during the
evacuation and is expected to be OK.

The pilots reported smoke was in the cabin of the Boeing 777, which led
to the use of evacuation chutes to get passengers off the plane.

The flight from Shanghai is about 7,000 miles. Flight 836 was about 13
hours in.
