No, I saw (all but the first few minutes) of the show on the Discovery
Channel yesterday, and they are different shows.

The life boats are not a design flaw, just a
gravity flaw. When the life boat is resting on
the hull it will not lower to the water!

That was explained better on the Discovery show.

There was also an interesting discussion of how many, many more lives
would have been lost if the wind was blowing in a different direction
and had not blown the ship back towards the shore.
