Like Canada - in broad terms!

Ok, I know that this is a subjective question. But I am trying to
get
a sense of whether the declining US dollar still lets you travel
affordably in Australia. Perhaps a comparison would be useful. Is it
as expensive as travelling in Europe? Or is it a little less
expensive, say, like travelling in Canada? Thanks in advance for any
help here!
Dunno. When I was working in the U.S. being paid U.S. wages*, I found
Australia expensive compared to the U.S. when the AUD was trading at
USD
0.80 (this was back in 1985). It was much better at USD 0.55 but now
it'll be more than Canada if you don't live cheaply.
* Disclaimer: I lived in Nevada and casino subsidies may have coloured
my view of affordability of the U.S.
