It doesn't come across as a holiday destination, but New Zealand's
North Island has some amazing spots hidden away from the public eye.
Just recently a friend and I went exploring with a van and a tent at
the bottom of the North Island.
We drove from Hawkes Bay right down to Cape Palliser. The coastline
just north of Palliser is so beautiful.
Not beautiful in a typical way, but rugged beauty. It's so harsh and
unforgiving, and the brutal southerly weather hitting with full force.
Anyway, enough soppy poetry!
I recommend this trip for anyone with a bit of wildness in their
heart.
Peace!
