I have flown KLM in the past and can tell some positive events. Once
on a return trip from Greece to Amsterdam, we were delayed on the
parking apron for 8 hours and missed ou r connectiong flight from
Amsterdam. On our arrival inAmsterdam we were routed to the service
area, provided the opportunity to send messages to loved one awaiting
us, were required to spend the night on KLM at their hotel. We were
provided superb meals in a four star quality inn with terrific
amenities. In fflight meals and drinks were top draw. I first flew KLM
in 1960 from Manila to Saigon! Bill

Unfortuntely all your information is of that vintage. KLM hasn't done

these
things in a long while. The airline industry has changed a lot since you
last flew.

Well, this story above holds even today and is a standard in the aviation
industry. Last June Finnair reduced the number of weekly flights between HLL
and BKK due to SARS from seven to three and I was rebooked in a flight from
BKK a day later than what was printed on my ticket. Naturally I got a decent
hotel to spend that one night with three square meals. Three years ago I was
rerouted from Moscow to Sinagapore because Aeroflot screwed with timetables.
Well, I was flying in the first class. This happens all the time.
