Default Ferry Service from Athens to Mykonos

Forgive me for being technical, but the port you'll be departing from is
actually Piraeus, not Athens. Getting from the Athens airport (or from the
city
of Athens itself) to Piraeus is very easy. There's no need to book a private
driver from the airport, as there is a regular bus that makes the trip many
times each day. Gazillions of people make this trip each year, so you don't
have to worry about being on some kind of perilous adventure.

Getting from Piraeus to Mykonos by ferry is also very easy because Mykonos is
one of the most popular destinations in the Greek Islands. I unfortunately do
not have links to the ferry web sites here at work, but I'll try to remember
to
post them when I get home. One thing you might think about is whether you
want
to take the regular (i.e. slow) ferry or the fast ferry. It's quite a long
trip
if you take the slow ferry, and you might not be in the mood for that after
the
long flight. Then again, it is also quite relaxing because it's a nice big,
comfortable boat. The fast ferry, on the other hand, is more like sitting on
an
airplane.

This is well-trodden territory and you'll find it very easy to find the
information you're looking for. One web site I'd highly recommend to help
with
your planning is www.greecetravel.com. I'm fairly certain that there are
links
to some of the ferry services there.

Enjoy your trip! And be sure to take an excursion over to Delos while you're
on
Mykonos. It has some of the best ruins in all of Greece and it's just a very
short boat trip from Mykonos.

Thanks very much...I'll head on over to greecetravel.com
