Default Terrorism and tourism

From: (CupCaked)

Life is not a dress rehearsal. Go.

When I brought this up several months ago while in the planning stages
of our tandem QE2/QM2 trip ( I was concerned about the ships being
targets, New York City also being a target again), many wise posters
here said not to let the *******s get me down. If I stopped
traveling, they (the terrorists who hate us) would, in essence, win.

I flew home from London's Heathrow airport days after September 11th.
I've traveled much since then. I WILL NOT let the *******s get me
down. I suggest you do the same.

Karen

Thank you, Karen, but there is a great deal of difference between your recent
itinerary and ours.

While we are learning that there is nowhere which is absolutely safe, please
believe that New York to London is a safer itinerary than ours.

I could easily cancel the cruise we have booked and replace it with a safer
itinerary, but we fell in love with what we booked last year the moment we saw
it. The fact that the price was half of what it would cost to replace it is
also a consideration.
