Default United's Union Contracts Under Pressure

Seems the spam is really hitting the fan. The pressure has been
relentless. Oil at an all time high, fares at a 12 year low, the industry
already has too much capacity and is still adding more.

The unionized workers must be really frustrated. They've made many
sacrifices, and more are being demanded. It's hard to face the fact that
they are now working in a very troubled industry, especially after its
history as being a very comfortable industry to work in.

I wonder how the workers are viewing their union leaders. It seems the
leaders are saying that the changes are disasterous but they aren't really
saying what they are going to do about it. There really isn't much that
they can do about it. A strike is their only real weapon, but a strike
will cause the company to fold.

It should be very interesting to see what transpires...
