I have seen one of the "little ships" a canal boat 50-60 ft long,
6'10" beam with *no keel* sailed across the channel in the
mercifully calm weather. Another was a coastal fishing boat, more
used to pulling in lobster pots, skippered by a survivor of The
Titanic.
