I think you are picking a fight where none is necessary. He earns money in
dollars. He has a bank account with dollars in it. Now he wants to go out
and spend them, and he wants to know where he would get the most value for
each one.

It's a perfectly fair question, and I don't necessarily see any "US
arrogance" wrapped up in it.

Only US people don't see the difference between money and dollars


Dollars are money.

Not all money is dollars, but that's irrelevant. He wasn't asking on your
behalf, so he didn't say "euros".
