I plan to arrive (solo) in LV on a Saturday evening later this month
and intend to book a hotel on the 'Strip'. Are there are any problems
about parking my rental car please? Do all the big hotels have ample
space and is it free? Will I be able to park it myself without being
bothered by valets? Are entrance signs to the car parks clearly
signed?

Any personal recommendations for specific hotels would also be
appreciated please. I'm not interested in gambling but a good dinner
and/or show would be a preference.

I'm an Australian and drove from LA to Las Vegas. I had a GPS with me
and it clearly showed how to drive straight into the hotel car park. Was
a fair walk to the hotel reception from the car park and my wife was with
me = plenty of luggage -)

No valet parking, unless you are staying in an upmarket hotel and want
to pull up at the front door.

Used to go to the Sahara but sadly it is gone. But anything around
$150US a night will be OK.

DO NOT go the the Luxor ...it looks OK on the outside but is a run-down
expensive dump that hasn't had anything done to it since it was built.
Plus the meals are the worst of any American diet choice.
