Other AI chains include Club Robinson (German based), Club Valtur
(Italian based), Allegro Resorts, Mark Warner (Europe). Club Med is way
bigger than any other chain.

But I assume you are restricting the choices to the Carribean?

Most AIs are watersports-oriented with maybe a little tennis.

"golf", at an AI, tends to mean greens fees at a local course, sometimes
transportation ("local" can be a pretty elastic phrase). Cart or caddy,
equipment, instruction, etc, are extra.

Club Med Sandpiper (in Florida, near Ft. Pierce) and Superclubs/Breezes
Runaway Bay have 18-hole standard courses on site; Superclubs/Grand Lido
Braco has a 9-hole par 3 on site (strongly recommended by players who
want to work on their short game; instruction is included).

An AI with a strong kids program is likelier to keep the little ones away
from the adult areas than one without.

Club Med Turkoise has a golf course across the street, it is not
included in the resort. There are two courses in Cancun within easy
taxi (or bus) of a bunch of resorts.

Club Med and Mark Warner tend to emphasize sports; other resorts
emphasize spa treatments, etc.
