I'm sure they will refund any monies other than "nonrefundable credits".
Therefore, if Marsha would deposit cash and not spend it all, she would get
back the balance. As others have suggested, using cash rather than a card is
cumbersome.


Sometimes you get on-board credit instead of a refund, and sometimes
you have other types of on-board credit like for owning stock or for
booking while you were taking a preceding cruise. For on-board
credit, you use or you lose.


I believe that most cruise lines will let you use your on board account
to draw funds to use in the casino. Instead of gambling with the money,
just withdraw it from the casino and wander the casino for a while.
Then pocket the money. They may charge you a few percent to do that,
but better than leaving any money behind.
