I guess it really depends on which side of the "surge" you are on, doesn't

The British Crown certainly saw the "impudent Colonials" as "insurgents",
while the Colonials certainly saw themselves as "patriots".

It's always the ones who WIN who get to write the History Books, not the ones
who LOSE.


And that is not true. The Japanese write their own history books and
they are quite different than the American, Australian, Chinese, or
Philippine.
