Well of course you can transport wine or alcohol by carring it as part of your
carry on luggage (we brough back nearly a case of Shiraz from Australia that
way) But the question asked was about bringing it on and then drinking it. That
is prohibited.

BTW, on domestic flights in China you are NOT allowed to bring alcohol
as carry-on luggage. You are allowed a maximum of 2 litres of spirits
as checked baggage!
