Default What food do you think of when you think of Beijing?

Each culture, each nation and their respective social strata, has its
own definition of what is palatable and what is not, and we in turn should
not condemn or ridicule one another for the differences. This thread was
started by that anti-social nincompoop, who thinks it fun to take continual
jibes in cyber space at the Chinese people. No prizes in guessing what fate
he would meet if any of us were to meet him on the street.

Pet status is something determined by human choice. It's not some sort
of moral quality of an animal species. Sheep, goats, horses, rabbits,
fish, birds, and pigs are quite commonly kept as pets, but that fact
doesn't appear to render eating them morally reprehensible.
