I don't think they use the MS simulator for this.
That is the only one Chilly knows about.


No, they don't, though the later MS simulators are pretty neat toys
that simulate a remarkable range of situations fairly accurately.

They are *very* suitable for learning and training for IFR procedure
holds, arrivals and departures, and can save the PPL pilot who is
undertaking such training quite a bit of money.
