but the Marshall Plan was used to rebuild Europe after it was crushed, and after VE Day - and was a crafty way of keeping
US manufacturing going profitably at the end of hostiulities when war materials were no longer needed. Wonder who paid for the conversion of the
war materials factories into factories producing all the needed rebuilding materials. Money, money - just like a parallel situation in the
rebuilding of Iraq - with US assigned contracts to US companies. Nice FAT contracts paid for my Iraqi oil.

So the taxpayers paid for the Marshall plan. And all the money went to the US firms to produce all the materials shipped to Europe for rebuilding.
Naturally those same US firms profited handsomely from this plan. Otherwise they'd be idle at the end of WW Ii when there was no further demand for the
war goods they produced. Sounds lie socialism to me - the people paying for the industrial complex and fat salaries of the executives...
