Default Carnival Liberty - Cruise From Hell

I browsed Cruise Critic and Cruise Reviews and found only ONE note
concerning the exact cabin I was assigned to. All that was said was
there was some noise from the top deck during events. Nothing was said
about continuous noise from furniture movement. On the Carnival
website, some people have got downright nasty with me, placing the blame
on me for not doing my research. However, all of these so called
experienced cruisers didn't once give me a link to where I could find
the necessary information. I know about the ones above and am a member
of them, but they didn't even mention those. I won't comment on a
subject that requires a link unless I can provide it. I wasn't the
problem on that cruise. Carnival wasn't the problem, the crew wasn't
the problem, and neither were the passengers. The designers are the
problem for not insulating cabins from the Lido deck (mid ships). I
recommended to Carnival that a quick fix would be to install rubber feet
on the tables and chairs. At least that would cut the noise factor to
less than half and not cost a lot to do. I would love to hear from
other cruisers that have had noisy cabins. We should have Cruise Critic
or another site create a listing of cabins on all lines that are not
desirable for one reason or another. Thanks for your gracious response.

The best choice for figuring out if a cabin is good or bad is to look on
Cruise Critic. There are many discussions there about the different
ships and which cabins are to be avoided (or preferred). I had a problem
with our cabin on Celebrity Galaxy several years ago. It turns out that
there was something underneath my cabin (maybe food storage) and you
would hear doors sliding open and closed at odd hours. I had read about
it on CC but there were differing reports on whether it was resolved or
not. It was not. And when I tried to ask about it at the captain's Q&A
session, the CD would not let me ask and told me we could talk about it
offline.

They never did anything about it, but I did get the kitchen tour I had
been asking for (and I was not entitled to it from my status), not sure
if that was related to my complaining.

I hadn't done that unfortunately. I only checked on the website.
