Soledad certainly isn't a fabulous vacation destination, but let's
not get carried away. I've stayed there, at the Best Western. It
was perfectly acceptable. Dining and entertainment are more limited
than in a larger place, such as Salinas, but Salinas isn't exactly
Monterey either.


I was refering to the Pinnacles part of the trip. Lots of nice places in
Monterey. All levels of price. You can even get a room at the Best Western
in Carmel for a little over a $100 night.
