Hi Wayne,

Get out of Santiago as soon as possible !! For a 5 days visit rent a car
and go to La Serena and visit the Elqui valley. It's a 475 Km (300 miles)
trip one way.

While in La Serena you can also go to the Herradura beach or visit Tongoy.

In your trip back to Santiago, take the coastal road from Papudo to
Valparaiso and then continue to Santiago.
