Bahamas-Radisson Cable Beach: Your thoughts?
Greetings all
We're on the verge of booking a week at the Radisson Cable Beach and Golf Resort for a week of fun and sun (and casino action). The place looks great from the Web data, but would like to hear what the 'real experiences' have been. We're looking for a nice beach, nice accommodations, nice pool (and some generous slots wouldn't hurt either!). One point of confusion to me is that Apple Vacations lists the facility as an All Inclusive, but I can't find that descriptor anywhere else. TIA for any input... Pete D |

Pete D You can do it a lot more cheaply by going to Nassau Beach Hotel, next door to the Marriott Hotel and casino. Same beach and you're allowed Marriot facilities. Nassau Beach has 2 outdoor pools. We also loved the outdoor spa pool at the Marriott after a hard day of walking downtown. The Radisson is a short walk from the Marriott. Same jitney buses to take you downtown & back. As for all-inclusive, there's lots of restaurants that will cost less. McDonalds, KFC, Subway downtown. Sbarros at Nassau Beach/Marriott. More expensive ones both downtown and in the hotels. Drinks - expensive in restaurants and bars but Bacardi Rum is $7.95 a litre downtown, a dollar or two more at hotel variety stores. Downtown has shopping that can be very expensive or as cheap as the Straw Market. Email me if you need more info. |
