BERMUDA IS A GO!
Here is NCL'S press Release
Miami - September 12, 2003 -Today, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that Norwegian Sea will sail its scheduled Bermuda itinerary and Norwegian Majesty will sail a revised Bermuda itinerary on Sunday, September 14. NCL's Hurricane Task Force has been working closely with the Bermuda Department of Tourism to determine the situation in Bermuda following Hurricane Fabian. Bermuda has informed NCL that it has made good progress on its recovery efforts and that the island is ready to once again welcome cruise ship visitors. Although these recovery efforts are not complete, NCL believes its passengers will be pleased that Norwegian Sea and Norwegian Majesty will return to Bermuda. NCL will alter Norwegian Majesty's itinerary from its three days in St. George's Bermuda. The ship will now spend Tuesday in St. George's, an overnight in the King's Wharf, Bermuda and an overnight in Hamilton, Bermuda. The company has made the change because the causeway that connects St. George's to Hamilton and the main sights in Bermuda has sustained damage. It can only support one lane of traffic and is closed during hours of darkness. While ferries between St George's and the rest of the island are operational, NCL and Bermuda tourism believe a shorter stay in St. George's will enhance the cruise guest's experience Diane Giambalvo Travel Consultant GalaxSea Cruises And Tours East Brunswick, NJ 1-800-357-9393 http://www.galaxseaeb.com |
