SILVERSEA ANNOUNCES EXPANDED COLLECTION
OF CULINARY AND WINE CRUISES FOR 2006
Award-Winning Authors Join Celebrated Chefs and Wine Experts
from Around the World to Host Popular Enrichment Cruises

Ft. Lauderdale, FL -- September 12, 2005
Ultra-luxury Silversea Cruises is rolling out an expanded collection
of 15 Culinary Arts Cruises and 12 Wine Series Voyages in 2006. It's
the biggest program the line has ever offered and will feature, for
the first time, award-winning authors in addition to a stellar lineup
of international wine experts, winemakers, and acclaimed chefs from
the world's top restaurants, including the distinguished dining
establishments of Relais & Châteaux -- Relais Gourmands.

Among the talented food and wine writers set to join the program is
the culinary power couple of Jill Van Cleave and William Rice,
scheduled to jointly host Silver Wind's Voyage 2610, sailing April 8
from Lisbon to Barcelona. Van Cleave is a renowned author, food
stylist and chef and Rice is the former food and wine columnist for
the "Chicago Tribune," former editor-in-chief of "Food and Wine," and
winner of the Who's Who award for "Best Food Journalism."

Other acclaimed writers tapped to host a culinary or wine cruise
include Eunice Fried, author of numerous books, including "Burgundy:
The Country, The Wines, The People"; writer-photographer Gerry Dawes,
author of "Spain: An Insider's Guide to Food, Wine and Travel in
Spain"; Joyce Jue, food consultant and award-winning author of
"Savoring Southeast Asia"; and Sarah Edington, whose book "The
Captain's Table: Life and Dining on the Great Ocean Liners" offers a
fascinating exploration of shipboard life and dining from the golden
age of liners to the present.

"Our smaller, more intimate ships provide the perfect atmosphere for
enriching learning experiences that appeal to our guests' sense of
discovery and interest in fine food and wine," said David Morris,
Silversea’s senior vice president of North America sales. "Each year
our culinary and wine theme cruises have grown in popularity, and
we’re delighted to be able to offer a record number of these special
enrichment cruises in 2006."

CULINARY ARTS CRUISES

On 15 culinary sailings spanning the globe from Auckland to Zanzibar,
the distinguished guest chefs will show off their exceptional culinary
talents during informative and entertaining cooking demonstrations.
Guests can taste and learn firsthand the secrets of enticing signature
dishes created by award-winning chefs like Raymond Blanc, the Michelin
two-star chef/owner of Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in Oxford, England;
Joachim Koerper, the Michelin two-star chef/owner of Spain’s famed
Girasol restaurant; Rick Tramonto, partner and executive chef of
Chicago's Tru, a Mobil Four star and AAA Five Diamond restaurant; and
chocolatier Katrina Markoff, founder of Chicago's innovative Vosges
Haut-Chocolat and one of Inc. magazine's "26 Most Fascinating
Entrepreneurs" -- to name a few. The Culinary Arts Cruises also
feature food and wine pairings, creative regional dishes, and a
five-course grand gourmet dinner. Throughout these special voyages,
the featured guest chef and Silversea’s executive chef are on hand to
share their culinary expertise and answer any questions.

WINE SERIES VOYAGES
From the lush vineyards of Victoria on Australia's southern coast, to
the famed French town of Cognac, to the rolling hills of Jerez de la
Frontera in Spain, guests will have a chance to explore fabled wine
regions throughout the world on 12 different Wine Series Voyages.
Discerning travelers with a passion for fine wines will enjoy sampling
some of the world’s finest vintages and visiting world-famous
wineries, cellars and vineyards. Top experts, like Remington Norman,
author of "The Great Domaines of Burgundy", and Georges Muller of
Riedel Crystal, the wine glass company, plus winemakers from renowned
establishments like Castello Banfi, will be on board to provide
enriching lectures, conduct special tastings of vintage blends and
guide Silversea’s guests on excursions to celebrated wineries and
vineyards in select ports of call.

A complete list of the 2006 Culinary Arts and Wine Series Voyages will
soon be available at www.silversea.com.
