Nothing AFAIK. Why don't you take Malarone instead?

If the side effects happen in the 3 weeks before you travel contact
whoever gave you them in the first place, that is why you take them 3 weeks
before you go, if it happens while you are travelling contact local
hospital/clinic. I know of people that had side effects, they were told to
stop taking them and given other tablets, but these are also now resistant
to malaria.
Lariam is old hat now, ask for Maarone, work's the same but with less
side affects. There is another drug (Artemisinin) that I have seen a
documentary about, but think that it will be difficult to obtain, you can
always ask around if it is possible to buy it, I will be trying this the
next time I travel.

P.S. Did you know that Lariam stays in your blood for 100 days after taking
the last tablet

We took Malarone on our last two trips to Ethiopia and had no problems at
all.

Nothing AFAIK, but I only had side effects the first time I took them.
After that I took the advice on the label and drunk lots of extra
water with each tablet and had no problems since.

My side effects didn't start until after I came back after my first
trip, and faded after each tablet, meaning after my last tablet, the
symptoms were almost gone within a week. I hadn't heard anything
about serious side effects of Lariam until after I had finished taking
them, so it wasn't 'suggestion' (in fact I'd been warned about
possible side-effects of two of my injections, but didn't have them).

If you're having side effects just now, and it's been a while since
you stopped taking them, it might be worth seeing your GP or your
country's equivalent.

Sleeping Dog,

that's a kind of zero statement, because everything in your
blood stays there for a very long time, much longer than 100
days, until the last molecule is evicted, if that ever happens.

Chortler,

nothing I would know.

While we're at it, be very careful with Lariam. If you have any
side effects, give up on Lariam, bite the bullet and buy the
more expensive Malarone. Don't take any risks, for some people
Lariam can be very dangerous. Others tolerate it well, so if you
belong to that second group---no problem.

He could have said that the half life of Lariam is something like three
weeks, while the half life of Malarone is only 2-3 days. But then people
may ask what a half life is... ;-)

Which ones?

I did a full check-up just after a trip to Ethiopia where I used Lariam,
the liver did show really bad test values. That did only slowly recover
and it took about two months to get back at normal levels.

I'll not repeat that experiment another time!
