Wheel Chairs phonies
Let's get this perfectly clear.
I'm not against the disabled using wheelchairs or any other device that helps them enjoy the cruise. Naturally there will not be enough wheelchairs or people to push them if other selfish passengers order the cruise line to wheel them on ahead of others and then walk, dance and run all over the ship until disembarkation, when they suddenly become disabled again! In any event, I don't resent the people who use the wheelchairs. I wouldn't trade places with the people who need them, nor with the pathetic life of those who have so little self-worth that they impersonate those who do. At the Galveston cruise last January, we asked for the wheel chair for my DH. The RCI employee had to check on the list that it had been requested via special needs in advance and that his name was on the list. When she found it, he got the chair. I think this is a very fair way of handing out wheel chairs. Maybe all cruise lines and terminals should follow this rule. We also request a wheel chair in advance when booking air tickets. -- Janet Wilder Way-the-heck-south Texas Spelling doesn't count. Cooking does. |
