I never had any problem getting a taxi at the Manhattan terminal. Used
it for Pacific Princess, Celebrity Zenith and NCL Dawn.

Then... getting your luggage down the stairs to the lobby level and then
down to the train platform level at Penn Station. That's always a hassle.

There were always red caps where the taxi dropped me off at Penn
Station. I suggest using them to get down to the train platform.

A moot point though since they have flights booked to JFK. I think they
can should book a mid Manhattan hotel.

Yes, thanks, the original couple of post to my question said either JFK
or LaGuardia were the same distance. And the terminal in is manhattan.
So I booked out of JFK. I guess we'll spend the night in NYC (Manhattan)
and then get to the airport the next day.

I had to grab the flights fast because we were using Frequent flyer
miles and getting flights was a chore. As it is, we have to spend a
night in London too and then go on to Amsterdam to get the ship.

And this was our third choice of a cruise. The other two had no flights
available.
