What is the best way to get from San Diego to Ensenada, Mexico? Ship or
driving?

Define "best".

Should you use the mailblocks package and expect a response from me,
you should preauthorize the dissensoftware.com domain.

I very rarely bother responding to challenge/response systems,
especially those from irresponsible companies.

Man, I envy you. Paddling down the Baja coast sounds like my kind of
vacation.

I'm not actually going any time soon, but it's something I'd like to do
before, you know. Hopefully someday Mexico will be a safe and prosperous
place to travel. That Baja California looks like a huge amount of
uncommercialized coastline. I've heard it is cheaper than San Diego, but
more dangerous.

Talking to friend who has family in San Diego who said that the tours there
USED to travel to Tijuana , now the FIRST things they tell tourists,
students in local schools - do NOT go the you WILL DIE or be taken
hostage. I asked " a bit of an exaggeration" ?
She said " No, literally - that's what they tell their visitors. The entire
area is full of criminals/gangs that will kill you."

There is probably an expensive cruise boat that goes there.

Wasn't Tijuana safer in the 60s? My mom and aunt visited then and didn't
say they had any trouble.
