Sometimes just asking. In the old, unfilled ships days, you could ask at
the time of embarkation and get lucky. These days, lucky is replaced with
near miraculous.

I wouldn't count on finding any free upgrades, but sometimes as you get closer
to your sailing, a call to your travel agent may help. You may be able to find
an upgrade at a small price, never hurts to ask, but I wouldn't think you'd
find one when you embark.

Best of luck, hope you find something.

If you book a guarantee catagory instead of an assigned cabin you may have
better luck. I booked a guarantee D1 and was assigned an aft cabin on deck
10 which is as good as it gets for a D1 in my opinion. I was hoping I'd get
a Junior suite but I never was lucky with upgrades. If you're set on a
certain location on the ship you may not want to do that.

Good luck
