Default Delta pilots take steps toward possible strike

The pilots' union at bankrupt Delta Air Lines Inc.is taking steps toward a
possible strike, as the airline looks to end a pension plan and contract
negotiations sour, a union official said on Thursday.

Yup, that really sounds good here in the Cincinnati area. IF they do
strike then "NO MORE DELTA". My opinion.
The airport just got a new runway and Delta cut flights about 20%. So
much for that new runway and $$$$$$ to build it AND kick people out of
their houses so it could be done. Son's of bitches dominate (85-90% of
flights) the airport.
I do hope they do not strike.

Thus spake me in an earlier post:
"Son's of bitches dominate (85-90% of flights) the airport."
THEN I went on and spaked "I do hope they do not strike."

I hope they do not strike because of the jobs that will be lost and $$$
that the airport AND city will lose.
We have already lost DHL, General Motors closed their Norwood plant back
in 85 or 86, and then there was a Ford plant in the area that
closed/scheduled to close soon.

I don't want to get political, but are we really better off since Al Gore
got robbed in 2000?

I will not blame W. for 9/11

But GM and Ford are jokes and not stocks you want to own.

Oil is $65 a barrel, gasoline is over $2.00 a gallon

Over 2,000 young men and women, our hope for the future, are dead as a
result of a war that should never have happened.

Where are the weapons of mass destruction?

My biggest mistake over the period of time was that I didn't buy Google
stock at $100.

Too late - you already did :-)

Not wishing to get into a discussion
about WMD, either, but this article was
in a local paper last week. Somewhat
interesting.

Well Dicky, if you're going to talk politics ...

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude
and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you
help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know
where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air
balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2346 feet above
sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100
degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican."

"I am", replied the man, "How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically
correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still
lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Democrat."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you're going.
You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made
a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your
problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but,
somehow, now it's my fault."
